This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used and shared when you visit www.barnie.com (the "Site") or make a purchase there.


PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED


When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone and some of the cookies installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as "Device Information".

COOKIES


Here is a list of cookies we use. We have listed them here so that you have the option to choose whether you wish to allow them or not.


_session_id, unique session identifier, allows Shopify to store information related to your session (referrer, landing page, etc.).


_shopify_visit, no data retained, persists for 30 minutes from the last visit. Used by the internal statistics tracking system of our website provider to record the number of visits.


_shopify_uniq, no data retained, expires at midnight (based on the visitor's location) the following day. Calculates the number of visits to a shop by a unique customer.


cart, unique identifier, persists for 2 weeks, stores information relating to your shopping basket.


_secure_session_id, unique session identifier


storefront_digest, unique identifier, undefined if the shop has a password, it is used to determine whether the current visitor has access.


- "Log files" track Site activity and collect data such as your IP address, the type of browser you use, your Internet service provider, your referring and exit pages, and your timestamp data (date and time).


- "Web beacons", "tags" and "pixels" are electronic files that record information about how you browse the Site.


Furthermore, when you make or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including your credit card numbers, your email address and your phone number. This automatically collected information is referred to as "Order Information".


When we use the term "Personal Information" in this Privacy Policy, we are referring to both Device Information and Order Information.


HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?


As a general rule, we use the Order Information we collect to process any orders placed through the Site (including to process your payment information, arrange shipping for your order and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations). In addition, we use this Order Information to:

TRACKING PIXELS IN OUR EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS

 

As part of our email communications, we use trackers, including tracking pixels and tracked links, embedded in our messages. These trackers allow us to measure the open rate of our emails and analyse your level of engagement with our communications, improve the deliverability of our campaigns with email service providers, and tailor the content sent to you based on your interests.

For this purpose, we collect the following data: the date and time the email was opened, your IP address, the type of email client used, and the links you click within our emails.

 

The placement of these trackers is based on your prior consent. You may withdraw this consent at any time and object to this tracking by logging into your "Email Preferences" area, accessible from the footer of each of our communications. Disabling tracking does not affect your subscription to our newsletter or your receipt of our emails: it only concerns the measurement of your engagement with them.

When you place an order through the Site, we keep your Order Information in our records, unless and until you ask us to delete it.
